Ultrasonic assisted drilling technology is a drilling technology with a feed direction of 2-20°. The drill uses high frequency vibration (>20 kHz) to improve processing conditions and productivity.

Ultrasonic vibration can not only reduce the thrust, but also improve the surface quality of the hole. In addition, high-frequency vibration has no significant effect on the dimensional accuracy or microstructure of the borehole.

Ultrasonic assisted drilling technology is a technology that applies ultrasonic vibration in the feed direction of the drill bit to improve drilling conditions and productivity. UAD is superior to traditional drilling technology in reducing thrust and torque, reducing burr height, and improving surface roughness and hole accuracy.

The precision and surface quality of the finished product are important factors for the final product, especially in many drilling processes. Burrs are generally considered to be a negative result of the assembly process. One way to reduce or remove metal cutting burrs and improve surface roughness is to use ultrasonic vibration during drilling. Ultrasonic assisted drilling (UAD) is a promising method for machining hard, brittle and ductile materials. It is used to manufacture parts with high-precision features, including optical, dental and electronic products. The evaluation of cutting force is very important because it directly affects the power consumption, tool life, dimensional accuracy and surface integrity of the machined parts. The cutting force in UAD is smaller than that in CD. In UAD, the cutting force is directly affected by the cutting conditions (such as ultrasonic frequency and amplitude). In addition, the characteristics of the part material (such as hardness and fracture toughness) will affect the processing behavior.

Ultrasonic assisted machining can process surfaces of various shapes, such as planes and grooves. Used for ultrasonic milling, cutting, grinding and other machining. The device is suitable for turning, milling, drilling and grinding of diamond, glass, ceramics, tungsten carbide, titanium alloy and other materials.
